there are a lot of stray and unwanted dogs and cats in the north as in the south.

The Iqaluit Humane Society is a small shelter that takes these animals in until they can find a new home. For most that means a trip south to Western Quebec where thy are fostered out and since there are no roads leading south the only way is by plane.

 

Each week one airline would ship these dogs down for free.

 

This has changed and the dogs are left waiting to see what will happen and when they get a new boarding pass.
